On Tap For Wed Feb 14, 2007

The following are some of the NYSE stocks that I will be keeping an eye on and possibly trading tomorrow. Obviously there may be news on other stocks that come out overnight or in the morning, so I may be trading those stocks as well.

Let's get down to business:

  • The following companies reported after the close today (please note that these are not all the companies that reported after the close - just the ones I'm watching):

  • The following companies are reporting before the open tomorrow (please note that these are not all the companies that are reporting tomorrow morning - just the ones I'm watching):

  • CSX Corporation (CSX)* was strong today as it punched through some overhead resistance and made new all-time highs today...I'm going to watch for opportunities; CSX closed at $39.37
  • Companhia Vale do Rio Doce (RIO) was another stock that was strong today as it closed right around it's all-time highs as well...we'll see where this one goes tomorrow; RIO closed at $34.98
  • Yet another stock that was strong and made new all-time highs today was Southern Copper Corporation (PCU)*...let's see if this one can push higher; PCU closed at $67.25
  • General Motors Corporation (GM) almost, but didn't quite close above it's 52-week high...after gapping up a few trading days ago, this one may move somewhere; GM closed at $36.59

Please note that those stocks denoted with a * and highlighted green indicate that they are on the SHO Pilot List which means you can short them on a downtick.
